Seahawks Place TE Will Dissly On IR, Activate DT Jarran Reed

The Seattle Seahawks announced that they have officially activated DT Jarran Reed to their active roster and placed TE Will Dissly on injured reserve.

Dissly, 23, was selected in the fourth round of this year’s draft by the Seahawks. He signed a four-year, $3,110,268 contract with the Seahawks and stands to make a base salary of $570,000 for the 2019 season.

He sustained a season-ending torn Achilles in Week 6, which is unfortunate given was in the middle of a potential breakout season.

In 2019, Dissly has appeared in five games and caught 23 passes for 262 yards receiving and four touchdowns for the Seahawks.

Reed, 26, was selected in the second round out of Alabama in 2016. He is entering the final year of his four-year contract worth $4,889,636 to go along with a signing bonus of $1,756,100.

He was suspended for the first six weeks of the 2019 season after violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy from an incident in 2017.
