Seahawks Placing DE Damontre Moore On Injured Reserve

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll announced Tuesday that they are placing DE Damontre Moore on injured reserve, ending his 2016 season, per Bob Condotta.

This past weekend, Moore was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of driving while under the influence of intoxicants and having a suspended license.

Moore was booked shortly before 7 a.m. and held on $1,500 bail. However, it remains to bee seen whether police suspected Moore of using alcohol or drugs.

The Seahawks released a statement regarding Moore’s arrest, saying: “We are aware of the situation and are still gathering information and will defer to his representation.’’

Moore, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2013. He lasted over two years in New York before he was waived in December of last year.

The Dolphins wound up claiming him off of waivers from the Giants. However, he was waived earlier in the year. The Raiders signed Moore to a contract in May before they elected to place him on waivers back in October.

The Seahawks signed him t  a contract a few weeks later.

In 2016, Moore has appeared in four games and recorded seven tackles and a half sack for the Seahawks.
