Seahawks Sign LB Dadi Nicolas

Ian Rapoport reports that the Seahawks have signed free-agent LB Dadi Nicolas to a contract on Wednesday.

The Chiefs were on the verge of trading Nicolas to the Browns in exchange for TE Randall Telfer earlier this month, but the trade was called off and both players were subsequently placed on waivers.

Nicolas, 25, was taken in the sixth-round of the 2016 NFL draft by the Chiefs. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.49 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000  over the next two years.

In 2016, Nicolas appeared in 10 games for the Chiefs and recorded one pass defense and no tackles.
