Seahawks Sign QB Stephen Morris

Adam Schefter reports that the Seahawks have signed QB Stephen Morris to a contract on Friday.

This comes just a day after the news that they canceled a tryout with Colin Kaepernick.

Morris, 25, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as a priority undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was later signed to the Jaguars’ practice squad.

The Eagles claimed him off of waivers a few days later but he would later finish out the year with the Colts. Morris returned to Indianapolis this last year on a future/reserve contract but was once again waived coming out of the preseason.

The Redskins signed Morris to a futures contract this past January only to cut him loose earlier in the week.

Morris has yet to appear in an NFL game.
