The Seattle Seahawks announced Thursday that they’ve waived DE Marcell Frazier and DE Noble Nwachukwu to make room for newly signedย WR Keenan Reynolds and LB Dadi Nicolas.
Nwachukwu, 23, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free out of West Virginia back in May of last year. He was waived at the start of the season and later added to the 49ers’ practice squad.
Nwachukwu finished out the year with the Seahawks and returned to Seattle on a futures contract this past January.
During his four-year college career at West Virginia, Nwachukwu recorded 117 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, 13 sacks, three forced fumbles, a recovery and seven pass defenses over the course of 39 games.
