A league source tells NFLTR that the Colts brought in free agent WR/KR Jawill Davis for a workout on Wednesday. The workout went well, but Davis wasn’t signed to a contract.
Davis also tried out for the Dolphins in recent weeks.
Davis, 24, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Bethune-Cookman back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract but was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Giants later added Davis to their practice squad before promoting him to their active roster last September. He was eventually placed on injured reserve before being waived and later claimed by the Packers this past May.
Unfortunately, Green Bay cut Davis loose a few weeks ago.
In 2018, Davis appeared in seven games for the Giants and recorded four receptions for 40 yards and no touchdowns. He also totaled 171 kick return yards and 89 punt returns yards.
