Steelers Re-Signing WR Eli Rogers To One-Year Deal

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Steelers have re-signed WR Eli Rogers to a one-year contract for the 2019 season on Thursday.

There has been some question about whether Rogers’ contract tolled for the 2019 season. However, it appears as though Rogers was, in fact, a free agent and will still be returning to the Steelers.

Rogers opened the 2018 season on the PUP list while working his way back from a torn ACL. However, he wasn’t activated from the list until December.

Rogers, 25, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in 2015. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,580,000 contract with the Steelers before returning to the team on a one-year contract last summer.

Rogers is in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Rogers appeared in three games for the Steelers and caught 12 passes for 79 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
