Steelers Sign DB Greg Ducre To Futures Deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially signed DB Greg Ducre to a future/reserve contract on Monday.

The Steelers have now signed 13 players to futures contracts since their season ended. The full list includes:

  1. DE Caushaud Lyons
  2. DB Jacob Hagen
  3. OT Matt Feiler
  4. OT Keavon Milton
  5. WR Marcus Tucker
  6. RB Dreamius Smith
  7. DB Mike Hilton
  8. RB Brandon Brown-Dukes
  9. DB Brandon Dixon
  10. WR Dez Stewart
  11. RB Karlos Williams (NFLTR)
  12. LB Farrington Huguenin
  13. DB Greg Ducre

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

Ducre, 25, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in San Diego before he was waived at the start of the season and later added to their practice squad.

The Redskins signed him to their active roster soon after but he would eventually return to the Chargers’ practice squad later on the season.

The Chargers once again cut Ducre loose at the start of the 2016 season and he, unfortunately, sat out the entire year.

In 2015, Ducre appeared in four games for the Chargers and recorded eight tackles.
