Steelers Sign WR Tyler Murphy To Practice Squad, Cut WR Isaiah Burse

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Thursday night that they’ve signed WR Tyler Murphy to their practice squad and released WR Isaiah Burse to make room for him, per Burt Lauten.

Murphy was cut earlier in the week to make room for RB Le’Veon Bell, who has been reinstated from his suspension.

Murphy, 23, signed on with the Steelers back in as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College. He’s in the first year of his four-year, $1.579 million rookie contract included a $4,500 signing bonus.

This season, Murphy has appeared in two games and caught one pass for 16 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
