Steelers Waived LB Shawn Lemon From PUP List With Injury Settlement.

The Pittsburgh Steelers waived LB Shawn Lemon from their reserve/PUP list on Monday with an injury settlement, according to the NFL Transactions release.

The Stampeders released Lemon from his contract in order to allow him to pursue a career in the NFL back in January. It was just a few weeks later that the Steelers signed him to a future/reserve contract.

However, he was unfortunately waived and later placed on the team’s physically unable to perform list after going unclaimed.

Lemon, 26, recorded 31 tackles, 13 sacks, an interception and tied the CFL single-season record with eight forced fumbles during the 2014 season.
