Per the Athletic’s Greg Auman, the Buccaneers will not be tendering upcoming restricted free agent S Andrew Adams and OT Leonard Wester, making them unrestricted free agents.
Adams led the team last season with four interceptions. Tampa Bay could still try to re-sign him at less than the $2.05 million tender.
Adams, 25, signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Connecticut back in 2016.
He was entering the final year of his contract in 2018 when New York elected to waive him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit coming out of the preseason. He signed with the Buccaneers at the end of September.
In 2018, Adams appeared in 13 games for the Bucs and recorded 38 total tackles, four interceptions, and nine pass defenses.
