Terrell Suggs Hoping To Finish Career With Ravens, But Open To Playing Elsewhere

Ravens veteran OLB Terrell Suggs told reporters on Monday that he’s hoping to finish his career in Baltimore, but if the team isn’t interested, he’ll be playing for someone else next season.

“I would love to be a Raven for life. I’m healthy. I feel like I’ve still got some juice in the tank,” Suggs said, via BaltimoreRavens.com. “It’s up to them. We’ll have to see what happens. It’s a long time between here and March. Hopefully we can work it out, but if not, I’m going to be lining up for somebody next year.

Suggs, 36, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2003. He played out the final year of his five-year, $28.5 million contract that included $16 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $6.5 million for the 2018 season.

Suggs will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Suggs has appeared in 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 34 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery returned for a touchdown and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 40 edge rusher out of 107 qualifying players.
