The Houston Texans officially designated TE Jordan Thomas to return from injured reserve on Monday, according to Howard Balzer.
This officially opens a three-week window of time for Thomas to practice with the team before Houston will need to add him to their active roster.
Thomas was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason with a rib injury.
Thomas, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his four, $2.6 million contract.
In 2018, Thomas appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and caught 20 passes for 215 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
