The Texans and left tackle Duane Brown have agreed to a contract extension via John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
McClain tweeted, “Texans have reached contract agreement with OT Duane Brown.”
The terms of the contract are not yet known. Brown had one year left on his current five-year deal and was slated to make $2.08 million this season. Brown, who had his best season as a pro a year ago, was at the top of the Texans list of unsigned players for next season according to McClain. By locking up Brown, the Texans can now shift their attention to linebacker Connor Barwin and quarterback Matt Schaub, who are entering the final years of their current contracts.
