Texans Interviewing Seahawks Exec. Trent Kirchner For GM Job

Aaron Wilson reports that the Texans are expected to interview Seahawks vice president of player personnel Trent Kirchner for their general manager vacancy.

As of now, the Texans have interviewed ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, Texans director of personnel Matt Bazirgan and Bills director of pro personnel Malik Boyd for the job. 

Other names linked to the Texans’ GM vacancy include Seahawks executive Alonzo Highsmith, Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio, Ravens director of football research Scott Cohen, Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds and Cowboys VP of player personnel Will McClay.

Kirchner began his career as a scouting intern for the Seahawks back in 2000. He had stints with Washington and the Panthers before the Seahawks hired him as their assistant director of pro personnel in 2010.

Kirchner has worked his way up to vice president of player personnel and has interviewed for a number of jobs over the years.
