Texans Promote Three Including OL David Quessenberry, Place Three On IR

The Houston Texans officially promoted OL David Quessenberry, DB Ibraheim Campbell and DT Chunky Clements to their active roster.

• The Texans also placed C Nick Martin, TE MyCole Pruitt and NT D.J. Reader on injured reserve.

This is a great story. Quessenberry battled his way back from cancer and was able to practice this summer.

Quessenberry, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2013. He was entering the final year a four-year, $2.273 million rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $645,000 in 2017.

The Texans waived him coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

Quessenberry has yet to appear in an NFL game.
