The Houston Texans announced that they’ve re-signed ILB Brian Peters to a new contract on Thursday.
Peters, 27, wound up going undrafted out of Northwestern back in 2012. He played for the Iowa Barnstormers and Omaha Nighthawks before signing on with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL.
After three seasons in the CFL, Peters signed a contract with the Vikings for the 2015 season. Unfortunately, Peters was waived and later signed to the Vikings practice squad at the start of the regular season.
The Texans later signed him to their active roster and he spent the past two years in Houston.
In 2017, Peters appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and recorded 17 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.
