Texans Re-Signing OT Roderick Johnson

Adam Schefter reports that the Texans have re-signed OT Roderick Johnson to a one-year, $1.75 million deal.

Johnson, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Browns back in 2017. Cleveland actually traded up to get Johnson in draft before waiving him a year later.

The Texans later claimed Johnson off of waivers only to release him coming out of the preseason. He was on and off of the Texan’s active roster before making the team’s 53-man squad last year.

Houston declined to tender Johnson a restricted offer earlier in the week.

In 2019, Johnson was active for all 16 games and made three starts for the Texans.
