Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Texans released S Chris Clemons.
- Ian Rapoport reports that the Texans have also released WR Mike Thomas.
Clemons, 28, signed a two-year, $2.7 million contract back in March. Last year, he recorded 62 tackles, eight passes defended, and an interception over the course 16 games.
Thomas, 27, signed a future/reserve contract with the the Texans last year. He is a former fifth-round pick of the Jaguars, but has yet to appear in an NFL game since 2012.
