Texas Tech TE Jace Amaro Has Met With The Patriots & Will Talk To The Ravens

Texas Tech TE Jace Amaro told reporters on Thursday that he has already met with the New England Patriots at the Combine and has a meeting scheduled with the Ravens in the coming days, per Aaron Wilson.

Every player at the Scouting Combine will meet several teams in the next few days, but it’s interesting to see the Ravens and Patriots are giving consideration to a tight end prospect who could be available in the latter portion of the first-round or in the second-round.

New England could really use some depth at tight end with Rob Gronkowski coming off another serious surgery and the Aaron Hernandez completely out of the picture.

Baltimore is trying to re-sign impending free agent Dennis Pitta, but talks are reportedly not close at this point and both Ed Dickson and Dallas Clark are set to be free agents aren’t expected to back with the team next season.

Amaro measured 6 foot 5 and 3/8 inches while weighing in at 265 pounds on Thursday.

We actually have Amaro being drafted by the Patriots at No. 29 overall in our 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
