The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that they’ve relieved special teams coordinator Bobby April of his duties on Monday and promoted Steve Hoffman for the remainder of the season.

On Sunday, the Titans’ special teams unit gave up a punt return for a touchdown to Texans rookie Will Fuller. Entering Week 4’s game, Football Outsiders had the Titans’ special teams unit rated as No. 25ย in the NFL.
Hoffman,ย 58, has been an NFL coach for 27 seasons and is in his fourth season with the Titans.
