Titans Place Low-Round Tender On RFA G Quinton Spain

The Tennessee Titans announced Wednesday that they’ve tendered a contract to restricted free agent G Quinton Spain.

  • According to Jason Wolf, Spain receives a low-round tender.

The low-round tender gives the Titans the right of first refusal for any offer he signs with another team in free agency. However, the Titans would not receive any draft pick compensation if they were to decline to match the offer, considering that Spain was an undrafted free agent.

Spain, 26, wound up signing on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in 2014. He has managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first three seasons in the NFL.

Spain will now be in position to test the open market as an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2017, Spain appeared in 14 games for the Titans and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 27 guard out of 77 qualifying players.
