Titans Promoting OLB Derick Roberson To Active Roster

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Titans are promoting OLB Derick Roberson to their active roster on Saturday.

Roberson takes the roster spot of veteran DE Brent Urban, who has reportedly been released.

Roberson, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Sam Houston State back in April. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Titans, but was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason.

Tennessee re-signed Roberson to their practice squad after clearing waivers.

During his three years at Sam Houston State, Roberson recorded 123 tackles, 23 sacks, an interception, seven forced fumbles and eight pass defenses over the course of three seasons.
