Report: Titans Aren’t Signing QBs David Carr Or John Skelton

Update:

Ian Rapoport reports that the Titans won’t be signing free agent QB David Carr.

Rapoport adds that he would be “a little surprised” if they signed another quarterback now that the Titans have received good news regarding Jake Locker.

Mike Garafolo reports earlier on Monday that the Titans will work out free agent QB David Carr on Tuesday.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is now reporting that the team will also bring in John Skelton for a work out on Tuesday as well.
Mortensen adds that Tennessee has also discussed the idea of possibly adding Matt Leinart to that list as well.

Starting QB Jake Locker is expected to miss somewhere between 4-8 weeks with a hip injury, so they are clearly looking for a backup option behind Ryan Fitzpatrick.
