The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve traded DB C.J. Smith to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2020 conditional seventh-round pick on Monday.
Smith, 24, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State back in 2016. He was on and off of the Eagles’ practice squad during his first year and a half in the NFL before the Browns signed him to their practice squad a few weeks into the regular season.
Smith was eventually promoted to the Browns’ active roster towards the end of the season.
In 2017, Smith appeared in three games for the Browns and recorded one tackle.
