Trade Rumors: Broncos, Cowboys, Panthers, Ravens

Broncos

  • According to ABC Denver 7’s Troy Renck, the Broncos aren’t as motivated to trade CB Chris Harris as they were WR Emmanuel Sanders and are asking for a second-round pick in exchange for the veteran corner.
  • While the Eagles have had some interest in Harris, Renck says Philadelphia is out at Denver’s current asking price.

Cowboys

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wouldn’t rule out Dallas making another trade ahead of the deadline. The Cowboys already dealt for DE Michael Bennett from the Patriots at the end of last week and Jones hinted there was another move the team had on the table for consideration.

“We’re always looking,” Jones said via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. “And that’s plenty of time. Let’s say we have consideration in the mill. We’re giving it thought. But this is when you do it. This is the deadline that everyone needs to push back against. To that end, anything’s possible.”

  • A Cowboys source tells Jane Slater that “we’re checking the temperature in a few places but nothing imminent at this time.”
  • Slater adds the Cowboys are exploring making a move at cornerback, defensive line and safety.

Panthers

  • According to the Athletic’s Joseph Person, while the Panthers aren’t expected to be active at the trade deadline, they do have an open roster spot and HC Ron Rivera didn’t rule it out yesterday.
  • Person mentions Eagles OL Halapoulivaati Vaitai as a potential target for the Panthers to shore up their offensive line depth. Vaitai could help at left tackle where the Panthers are down to sixth-round rookie OT Dennis Daley.
  • Person also notes the team could target a wide receiver like the Jets’ Robby Anderson

Ravens

  • According to the Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec, the Falcons are so desperate to trade DE Vic Beasley, including eating some of his salary, that the fact the Ravens haven’t made the deal already despite their need for a pass rusher probably indicates they’re not interested.
  • Zrebiec adds the Ravens have gotten some calls on TE Hayden Hurst but they’re not really looking to move him given how important tight ends are to their offense.
