Vikings Claim P Matt Wile Off Waivers, Release P Ryan Quigley

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Vikings have claimed P Matt Wile off of waivers from the Steelers on Sunday.

The Vikings have already confirmed the news and announced that they’ve released P Ryan Quigley.

Wile, 26, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in 2015. He bounced on and off their roster until signing with the Cowboys during the 2016 offseason.

He lasted six months in Dallas and signed with the Falcons, but was waived after a few days. The Cardinals then signed him to their practice squad and he was quickly promoted to their active roster.

Wile signed a futures deal with the Steelers back in January, but was among their final roster cuts on Saturday.

In 2016, Wile appeared in four games with the Cardinals and recorded seven punts for 516 net yardage and seven touchbacks.
