The Minnesota Vikings announced Friday that they’ve placed three players on the PUP list including CB Mike Hughes, TE David Morgan and WR Brandon Zylstra.
The Vikings also added DE Tashawn Bower and DT Shamar Stephen to the non-football injury list.
All of these players will still count against the team’s 90-man roster and can be activated at any time.
Hughes is working his way back from a torn ACL, so this isn’t a big surprise.
Hughes, 22, is a former first-round pick of the Vikings back in 2018. He agreed to a four-year, $9,867,494 contract that includes a $5,256,352 signing bonus.
The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Vikings to pick up in 2021.
In 2018, Hughes appeared in six games for the Vikings and recorded 22 tackles, an interception returned for a touchdown, a forced fumble and three pass defenses.
