The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday that they’ve placed first-round WR Justin Jefferson, OT Blake Brandel, S Brian Cole II, and OL Tyler Higby on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Jefferson, 21, was a two-year starter at LSU and set the single-season record for receptions last season before being selected by the Vikings with the No. 22 overall pick.
Jefferson is projected to sign a four-year, $13,122,805 rookie contract that includes a $7,103,858 signing bonus. The contract includes a fifth-year for the Vikings to pick up for the 2024 season.
In his three-year career at LSU, Jefferson had 165 receptions for 2,415 yards (14.6 YPC) and 24 touchdowns. He also six carries for 30 yards (5.0 YPC).
