Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Vikingsย are promoting DT Toby Johnson to their active roster on Monday.
Johnson, 25, originally signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in May of last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and had brief stints with the Jaguars and Bears before joining the Vikings towards the end of the season.
Minnesota elected to bring Johnson back on a futures deal this past January. However, he was once again waived at the start of the season and signed to their practice squad.
During his college career at Georgia, Johnson recorded 34 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and two pass defenses.
Johnson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
