The Minnesota Vikings announced Friday that they’ve re-signed RB Ameer Abdullah to a contract.
- The Vikings also confirmed that they’re re-signed C Brett Jones.
Abdullah, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Lions back in 2015. He played the final year of his four-year, $4.156 million contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
The Lions elected to waive Abdullah in 2018 and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Vikings. Minnesota brought him back on a one-year contract last year.
In 2019, Abdullah appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and rushed for 115 yards on 23 carries (5 YPC) to go along with 15 receptions for 88 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also contributed 325 kick return yards.
