As of now, the Vikings have signed two players to futures deals including:
- WR Brandon Zylstra
- OLย Dieugot Joseph
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Joseph, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Florida International back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Bears cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.
Joseph spent a few months on the Ravens’ practice squad before he was released a few weeks ago and later signed by the Vikings to their taxi squad.
Joseph has yet to appear in an NFL game.
