The Minnesota Vikings announced Sunday that they’ve signed seven players to futures contracts for the 2020 season.
The full list includes:
- QB Jake Browning
- TE Brandon Dillon
- CB Mark Fields
- WR Davion Davis
- RB Tony Brooks-James
- DB Kemon Hall
- CB Marcus Sayles
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Sayles, 25, signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of West Georgia back in May of 2017. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Bills cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Bills later signed him to their practice squad, only to cut him loose a few days later. The Rams eventually added him to their taxi squad and re-signed him to a futures deal before waiving him back in April.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
