Vikings Sign Seventh-Round S Jayron Kearse

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings have signed seventh-round pick S Jayron Kearse on Wednesday.

Kearse receives a four-year, $2.4 million contract from the Vikings to go along with a signing bonus of $64,224.

The Vikings are wasting no time in getting their 2016 draft class under contract, as they’ve also signed Moritz Boehringer this week.

Kearse, 22, was selected with the No. 244 overall pick this past weekend.

During his three years at Clemson, Kearse recorded 164 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, seven interceptions, two forced fumbles, two recoveries and 11 pass defenses.
