Vikings Signing RB Blake Renaud To Practice Squad

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Vikings are re-signing RB Blake Renaud to their practice squad on Tuesday.

Minnesota will need to release a player from their practice squad, as they currently are at the 10-man limit. Here’s what the unit looks like right now:

  1. DB Brock Vereen (Exception)
  2. WR Donte Foster
  3. DE B.J. DuBose
  4. OL Isame Faciane
  5. WR Isaac Fruechte
  6. S Anthony Harris
  7. LB Brandon Watts
  8. RB Dominique Williams
  9. OL David Yankey
  10. DE Zach Moore (Exception)

Renaud, 23, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State a few days after this year’s NFL Draft.

He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts at the start of the season, but was later added to the practice squad. The Vikings elected to release him close to a month ago.

During his four years at Boise State, Renaud played linebacker and recorded 120 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a recovery.
