According to Field Yates, the Vikings have waived RB Roc Thomas ahead of training camp.
The Vikings also announced that they’ve signed G Tiano Pupungatoa to a contract.
Thomas was suspended for three games by the NFL last week for violating the substance abuse policy.
Thomas, 23, signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville State in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Vikings and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
The Vikings waived Thomas in November, but re-signed him to the practice squad. Thomas was re-signed to a futures deal for the 2019 season.
In 2018, Thomas appeared in five games and rushed for 30 yards on eight carries (3.8 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 21 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
