As the deadline for a Vincent Jackson trade approaches, we are hearing more and more speculating about the San Diego Chargers options for trading their star wideout.
Michael Silver ofย Yahoo! Sports lays out a possible trade to the Vikings for an unconditional pick in 2011 that would start as a third-round pick and could become a second-round pick depending on Jackson’s performance. He also suggests that the Vikings would give Jackson a one-year salary of around $6 million and a promise that they will not franchise him at the end of the year.
Considering the complexity of Jackson’s current situation, a trade such as this may be the best option for everyone involved and the Vikings are certainly in need of adding talent to their receiving core.
