Montee Ball

• According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Patriots RB Montee Ball isn’t in game shape.
• Werder reports that Ball was 240 pounds during his recent workout for the Packers, but is now down to 230 pounds. He weighed 205 when the Broncos drafted a few years ago.

Bruce Arians

• Cardinals HC Bruce Arians said that he had interviews scheduled with the Eagles, Browns and Chargers a few years ago, but they all canceled their meetings with him once he met with the Bears. (Tim McManus)

49ers

• Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle speculates that the York family could sell 49ers.
• Ostler mentions former Oracle CEO Larry Ellison as a potential candidate to buy the team, assuming the current ownership is willing to sale the franchise.
• Ostler also wonders if ownership could bring in a football czar to run the team.

Cardinals

• Aaron Wilson reports that the Cardinals worked out Montreal Alouettes cornerback Mitchell White.

Colts

• The Indianapolis Colts signed RB LaDarius Perkins to their practice squad.
