The Cinncinati Bengals announced that they’ve signed TE John Peters to a reserve/future contract on Wednesday.

Peters is the 11th player to sign a futures deal with the Bengals. The other players include:

  1. RB Bronson Hill
  2. LB Jayson DiManche
  3. WR Michael Bennett
  4. G Trey Hopkins
  5. WR Jake Kumerow
  6. TE Matt Lengel
  7. LB Jeff Luc
  8. K Zach Hocker
  9. DE Dezmond Johnson
  10. S Floyd Raven

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Peters, 23, signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Mount St. Joseph back in May of last year. However, he was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

Peters has yet to appear in an NFL game.
