John Keim of ESPN reports that the Redskins have released S Jeron Johnson on Monday.
The Redskins have already released QB Robert Griffin III and DT Jason Hatcher today.
Johnson, 27, signed a two-year, $2.5 million with the Redskins last year and was set to make a base salary of $850,000 for the 2016 season.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Johnson will free up $1,068,750 in available cap space while creating $175,000 in dead money.
In 2015, Johnson appeared in 14 games and recorded 27 tackles.
