2018 NFL Trade Deadline Is October 30

The NFL announced Tuesday that the 2018 NFL trade deadline is set for October 30 at 4 pm EST.

A few years ago, the NFL moved the trade deadline back to Week 8 after it had previously scheduled after Week 4 for several years. While it hasn’t done a ton to increase the amount of trade activity at the deadline, there has been a slight uptick the past few years.

In 2017, there were five trades before the deadline, which included deals for players such as QB Jimmy Garoppolo, WR Kelvin Benjamin, RB Jay Ajayi and LT Duane Brown.

There were other midseason trades such as DT Marcell Dareus being dealt to the Jaguars and Adrian Peterson being traded to the Cardinals in the weeks leading up to the deadline.

It’s worth mentioning that there were 33 total trades from the start of training camp last year leading up to the start of the regular season, so that’s really a period to watch in terms of trade activity.

As of now, there have been 69 total trades since the 2018 league year got underway in March. Here’s the list: (NFLTR)
