Adrian Peterson Would Like The Vikings To Sign QB Michael Vick

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson mentioned via his Twitter account Wednesday night that he is hoping Minnesota will sign free agent QB Michael Vick in the coming weeks.

Vick, 33, is believed to be seeking another opportunity to be a starting quarterback after losing the Eagles starting job to Nick Foles last year.

  • Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, citing “league and team sources,” reported Wednesday that Vick “will not be back with the Eagles in any capacity.”
  • However multiple reports refuted the idea that the Eagles had already decided against Vick will not be back with them next year.

Minnesota has come up as a speculative landing spot for Vick in recent weeks, and recent reports have indicated that Matt Cassel is likely to test the open market and could end up signing elsewhere.

With this in mind, the Vikings could use another quarterback to add to their roster, even if they do end up drafting a developmental prospect this May.

Other speculative options for Vick include the Jets, Bills, Raiders, Buccaneers, and Texans.

We have Vick listed as the No. 32 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
