Bills contract-year WR Kelvin Benjamin says he’s hit “rock bottom” this season and he’s looking forward to a “fresh start” in 2019 whether it’s with Buffalo or another team.

“It’s definitely going to be a fresh start,” Benjamin said, via ESPN.com. “Once I find a team, or if I’m still in here in Buffalo, whatever, I’m just going to keep pushing. I learned a lot about myself. Just keep going. That mentality, just keep pushing. Once you hit rock bottom, I guess, it’s only up from there, right?

  • Bills QB Derek Anderson remains in the concussion protocol and won’t practice Monday. (Mike Rodak)
  • Regarding the decision to cut QB Nathan Peterman, Bills HC Sean McDermott said: “Tough decision. Nate did everything that was asked. He’s a class act through and through.” (Joe Buscaglia)
  • According to McDermott, re-signing Peterman to their practice squad is not an option at this time: “Not at this time. We wish him and his family the best. They’re class acts through and through.” (Joe Buscaglia)

Dolphins 

  • Dolphins HC Adam Gase said QB Ryan Tannehill increased his throwing program last week and looks like “what he once looked like.” Gase added that Tannehill needs “to shoot me straight” before determining for sure if he’ll practice on Tuesday. (Barry Jackson)
  • As for Tannehill’s Week 12 status, Gase said: “I’m not going to rule him out because if he comes to me and says he feels great.” (Barry Jackson)
  • Gase said that Tannehill “can throw it down the field now. It looks good.” (Adam Beasley)
  • According to Gase, WR DeVante Parker (shoulder) has a chance to play this week. (Joe Schad)
  • Regarding the loss of WR Jakeem Grant (injured reserve), Gase said it’s “a crushing blow for a guy who gives you everything he has.” (Adam Beasley)
  • Gase said that Grant has had Achilles pain for four years: “He just doesn’t say much about it.” (Adam Beasley)
  • Dolphins CB Bobby McCain is still in the concussion protocol. (Joe Schad)
