AFC Notes: Broncos, Emmanuel Sanders, Jaguars & Patriots

Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders mentioned that his contract situation really isn’t weighing on him.

“I don’t think it weighs on me,” Sanders said, via the Denver Post. “I think it weighs on other people and then they talk about [it] and it’s like, ‘All right, you’re trying to put the weight on me.’ If I could just keep my ears closed and not listen to the noise, I wouldn’t even know this is a contract year.

“For me, it’s going to come. If it’s meant for me, it’s meant for me. But I’m going to keep playing ball because I love to do it.

Jaguars HC Gus Bradley had some positive things to say about undrafted rookie TE Braedon Bowman.

“We like him; he’s intriguing to us,” Bradley said of Bowman, via the Florida Times-Union. “We don’t have a fullback on our roster so what we’re still trying to figure out with Bowman is, can he be the guy that plays the tight end spot and then at times gives us the fullback that we like to incorporate?

While the NFL has said that they plan to monitor the situation in England after the country voted to league the E.U., the Jaguars are still planning to play one of their homes games in London each year.

What happened doesn’t change in any way our commitment to play games in London,” Jaguars president Mark Lamping said.

  • Ben Volin of the Boston Globe believes the Patriots should inquire about Chiefs RB Knile Davis to complete with and possibly replace LeGarrette Blount.
