The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they’ve signed DL Jimmy Staten to their practice squad.
The Bears’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB John Timu
- CB Da’Vante Bausby
- WR Daniel Braverman
- OL Jason Weaver
- TE Ben Braunecker
- QB Matt Barkley
- OL Cornelius Edison
- DB Demontre Hurst
- RB Raheem Mostert
- DL Jimmy Staten
Staten, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in May of last year. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster but was later added to the team’s practice squad.
Seattle elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract, only to waive him back in August of last year. The Giants claimed him off of waivers, but he was among their final roster cuts.
After a brief stint with the Patriots, Staten signed on to Chiefs’ practice squad a few weeks into the season. Kansas City waived him coming out of the preseason a few weeks ago.
Staten has yet to appear in an NFL game.
