The Cincinnati Bengals announced Thursday that they’ve waived S Josh Shaw and DT Chris Okoye from injured reserve.
Shaw, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.773 million contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.
The Bengals waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.
In 2017, Shaw appeared in all 16 games for the Bengals and recorded 36 tackles, no sacks or interceptions and three pass defenses.
