Bills Promoting WR Walter Powell To Active Roster

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post are promoting WR Walter Powell to their active roster on Tuesday.

Powell, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in May of last year. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

Powell was among the Jets’ final roster cuts, but was later added to their practice squad at the start of the season. He briefly joined the Bills a few months ago before signing to the Raiders’ active roster.

Buffalo later added him to their practice squad.

In 2014, Powell appeared in four games and totaled 233 kick return yards and 48 punt return yards for the Jets.
