Broncos Expected To Place G Ron Leary On IR, Sign TE Matt LaCosse Off Giants’ PS

Mike Klis reports that the Denver Broncos are expected to place G Ronald Leary on injured reserve with a back injury.

Leary, 28, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Cowboys before signing a four-year, $36 million contract that included $18.65 million guaranteed with the Broncos this past March.

Leary stands to make a base salary of $7.65 million for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Leary appeared in 11 games for the Broncos.

LaCosse, 25, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in 2015. He was waived during the preseason and later had a brief stint with the Jets before returning to the Giants during the 2015 season.

LaCosse spent the 2016 season on injured reserve but was brought back on an exclusive rights contract this past February. New York waived LaCosse last month and later added him to their practice squad.

In 2017, LaCosse appeared in three games for the Giants but did not record a single statistic.
