Browns Place Rookie DB Howard Wilson On PUP List

The Cleveland Browns officially placed DB Howard Wilson on the PUP list Monday.

The Browns can activate Wilson from the list at any point before the start of the season.

During offseason workouts, Wilson suffered a fractured kneecap, but later got some good news that the injury won’t require surgery. Even so, Ian Rapoport reported that Wilson’s recovery time should end up being around 12-16 weeks.

Howard was selected with the No. 126 overall pick by the Browns in this year’s draft. Cleveland actually traded up in round four to get Wilson.

According to OverTheCap.com, King will receive a four-year contract worth $3,003,144, which includes a signing bonus of $603,144.

During his college career at Houston, Wilson recorded 107 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, nine interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, 15 pass defenses and two fumble recoveries over the course of three seasons and 27 total games.
