The Cleveland Browns are signing veteran LB Larry Grant, according to his agent David Canter.
Grant, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers, but he later signed with the Rams and spent three seasons in St. Louis.
Last year, he was forced to miss the first four games of the season after he violated the league’s PED policy. Grant wound up end up appearing in just two games while he was with the Bears before he was cut loose in November.
It’s hard to be guaranteed of a roster at this point in the offseason, so it seems likely that he’ll have to prove his worth, possibly on special teams, if he’s going to crack their 53-man roster.
